BEIGE & PINKS. They were big, bold colours in the 80s however they were somewhat neutral colours that further depicted the idea of a clean home that was also easy to live in. As both parents were working full time it was becoming more and more difficult to keep the home clean, so the idea of a simple clean yet still attractive home was considered to be the most functional at the time.
Many homes built in the 80s are still evident in today's built up areas, as these homes have the ability to be easily modified to suit the manner in which current homes are presented and thought out. Standard brick-work was common and the idea of an ensuite in the master bedroom and a guest bedroom also. A carport or garage had direct access to the house so as both working parents at the time were able to quickly and easily take purchases such as groceries directly into the house itself.
